Job: Site Mechanical Engineer at Egyptrol in Cairo, Egypt

At job sites:

To coordinate and supervise site activities for mechanical scope of work including but not limited to:

• Supervise site installation activities.
• Inspect material deliveries.
• Review technical submittals for drawings, design and material.
• Evaluate contractor variation requests reporting to the project manager.
• Monitor time schedule progress and review contractor performance with reference to the time plan.
• Attend site meeting and perform frequent site surveys.
• Support junior engineers in their site supervision and guide them in performing the job to the utmost level.
• Prepare monthly progress report.
• Review contractor’s invoices.
• Assure project safety requirements.
• Use and follow company quality procedures.

At office:
The tasks shall include but not limited to perform design work related to mechanical systems (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Compressed air systems, medical gases…etc.) in different project i.e. power plants, buildings projects, industrial projects including but not limited to :

• Design and calculation of HVAC systems.
• Design and calculations of fire fighting systems.
• Design and calculations of plumbing systems.
• Plant design and piping routing (2D and 3D).
• Mechanical equipment sizing.
• Preparation of shop drawings.
• Preparation of bill of material.
• Review, understand and prepare technical specifications.
• Support junior staff for design activities.
• Use and follow company quality procedures.
• Attend technical meetings with client.
• Site surveys and data collection.
