EduKitten, a fresh Start-Up working in the field of Educational Arabic Mobile Applications for kids, is seeking a senior 2D animator to work with us on our passion of creating characters and games. Position Summary
The 2D Animator will be lead the Art Team, creating art assets in flash such as characters and effects. This 2D Animator will also create final in-game artwork and placeholder artwork as needed by the development team. This position will also work with web and marketing teams to create game-related artwork. The 2D Animator will spend most of their time designing, creating vector art and animating in game objects and sprites. 2D Animator must be flexible enough to handle 2D art, flash animation, icons, advertising, web ready art, as well intro/story animations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing guidance and recommendations to junior designers
- Animate and design the needed work for our games
- Follow Apple’s Human Interface guidelines
- Role will be about 70% hands‐on animation and 30% management, mentoring, and planning
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in Animation experience
- Quick sketching and storyboarding experience.
- Ability to communicate visually, and to identify and define visual design issues and solutions.
- Excellent design skills, including the effective use of color, form, lighting and composition.
- A passion for games, education, and kids.
- Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of animation.
- Excellent Photoshop and flash skills (CS3-5).
