Job Description
General Accountant:
- Prepare/assist in preparing quarterly financial statements (OE – CF – IC – BS).
- Ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting for both local and group “quarterly).
- Review and reconcile all subsidiary ledgers.
- review and oversee the timely posting of journal entries and ensure they are accurate and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Collaborating with the support function department to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial reporting.
- Entering financial data such as (accruals, deferrals, reclassification, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger daily as well as preparing reports.
- Handling and reviewing taxation affairs with the taxation team.
- Review inter-companies cost allocation and quarterly balance confirmation.
- Provide external auditors with required analysis and supporting documents.
Financial Auditor:
- Conduct thorough and comprehensive audits of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting processes to identify potential risks, errors, or inefficiencies
- Review and evaluate financial information to ensure compliance with relevant laws, standards, and regulations
- Develop and implement audit procedures and plans to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather and analyze financial data, and provide recommendations for improvement
- Prepare detailed audit reports, highlighting findings, conclusions, and recommendations for remedial actions
- Identify and assess risks to help develop strategies for risk mitigation and internal control enhancement
- Educate and train staff on audit processes, best practices, and compliance measures
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or financial major is a must.
- Work experience as an Accountant in the Construction field.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- BSc in Accounting, Finance or a relevant degree
