Job Description
- Set the production plan activities, timings, and requirements.
- Set the raw materials requirement plans to satisfy the JIT production.
- Follow up the raw materials availability compared to the production plans to take corrective actions. (Material planning and management)
- Set production plan timetable for each machine.
- Follow up on daily basis the production status of each machine compared to the assigned timetable to take quick corrective actions.
- Supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done safely and efficiently.
- Collaboration with other stakeholders to develop plans to improve production, costs, and utilize resources.
- Drive continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through team participation in daily meetings and plant management meetings, to improve resource utilization, performance and quality.
- Diagnose problems in the production line and provide recommendations and training.
- Establish safety procedures and protocols that take the workers' well-being into account, and that also minimize engineering utilities (Water, electricity and compressed air).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports as well as shift handover reports.
- Responsible for team skills improvement as well as absenteeism percentage.
- Handle the general day-to-day running of the Production Department with primary accountability for productive output, quality of finished goods as well as corrective maintenance activities in addition to first level maintenance tasks.
- Responsible to manage shift basis – 12*2 working hrs. – including training of people; supporting team leaders; planning preventive maintenance on machinery and analysis of rejects and scrap.
- Responsible to develop lean-improvement initiatives, cost saving projects as well as continuous improvements approaches.
- Responsible to develop the skills of operational employees to ensure optimum resource utilization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
- Up to 6 years of experience directly related to blow and injection molding, in addition to at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Ability to establish and maintain internal specifications and process documentation for injection and blow molding processes.
- Ability to work independently on new process development as well as troubleshoot current production issues: self-starter able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation.
- Capability of using improvement tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Preferred October residency.
