Job Description
Required for a Construction Company “Senior Mechanical Technical Office Engineer” with the following job description:
- Review project contract documents, including time schedules, design drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
- Ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and specifications.
- Update the shop drawing log with relevant information before submitting drawings to the consultant for approval.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with project design and specifications in all shop drawings.
- Identify and prepare RFIs for any missing, unclear, or conflicting technical information during construction.
- Coordinate the resolution of technical matters with the project consultant and the owner.
- Review shop drawings submitted by subcontractors and external vendors.
- Coordinate the approval process with the project consultant, addressing any discrepancies or concerns.
- Participate in resolving unexpected technical difficulties and problems that may arise during construction.
- Report issues to the Technical Office Manager for discussion and implementation of proper solutions.
- Prepare accurate as-built drawings at the conclusion of the project.
- Hand over completed drawings to the project consultant for record-keeping.
- Prepare detailed drawings required for all construction items, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other disciplines, including electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Ensure coordination and integration of mechanical drawings with drawings from other disciplines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Related Field Experience: From 8 to 12 years of Experience in a technical office environment in construction companies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
