The Management Accountant is the responsible for all financial operations within the businesses, managing a small team of bookkeepers and assistants, as well as being the key point of contact for unit managers and other stakeholders.Would SuitThe ideal candidate for this role is a results-orientated individual who is incredibly diligent. This will mean an increased team and growing responsibility for the finance department.The role offers the chance to work directly with, and reports to, the CEO and Founder of the business, so opportunities may be available in the future within other group divisions.ResponsibilitiesPreparing and publishing, with assistance of a junior team, monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Management and oversight of accounts receivable, accounts payable management, sales ledger, purchase ledger etc.Inter-company & group company account management Support month-end and year-end close process.Liaise with external auditors for Financial Audit Preparing financial forecasts for prospective investorsRecommending changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performanceManage and comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings Ability to present to key stakeholders and investorsRequirementsPrevious Financial Controller experience required, 5 yearsExperience working for UK businessesFully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA (or equivalent)Xero experience preferredExperience of controlling the finance function from transactional level Experience of managing a teamGood interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels Dedicated and flexible work attitude towards completion of deliverables Able to demonstrate strong business acumenPro active to enhance business performanceProficiency in Excel, Word and other business softwareWhat We Offer Competitive salaryOpportunities for professional development and advancement within the companyA collaborative and supportive work environment with access to industry experts and resourcesContinuing education and training opportunities to stay current on industry trends
