How You’ll Make An ImpactPlan, coordinate, monitor and support sourcing and supplier qualification activity for business/projects within framework of policies and guideline of SE with the objective of achieving and exceeding the business goals and strive for customer satisfaction.Responsible for coordinating with Internal/ External partners, Internal such as Engineering, Strategic procurement, Supplier Quality, Project Management, counterparts from various locations of Siemens Energy and External – Customers, Suppliers/Vendors, Contractors.Sourcing: float inquiry to approved vendor based on provided specifications, provide clarifications to/from vendors for offers received, and coordinate with Engineering department for technical evaluation.Offer assessment & negotiations, Order placement, coordination with Engineering & ensure the techno-commercial evaluation of the offers received to identify possible deviations, compare / negotiate technical, commercial and other issues with the vendorVendor Management: To identify and develop vendors best in line with the target cost, quality and time schedules as per business requirement.Supervise and follow-up on vendor activities, highlight potential delays. To ensure that corrective actions are taken to minimize/handle the delays/damages.Support sale department in making proposal at bid stage. Should aim at getting the best price from vendor with in required timeframe to bag the order.Improve supplier performance on the basis of feedback through periodical review on product, services & processes. To achieve improvement in cost, quality & time frame.Support Supplier Management processes (e.g. qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification); update supplier evaluation systems to obtain and develop the best suppliers and ensure visibility and high procurement qualityDevelopment of a contract award strategy under consideration of the project goals, cost and quality, successful presentation of Total Cost Comparison in a sourcing board and implementation thereofPrepare and Perform contract negotiations with application of the available procurement levers to achieve best in class resultsGenerate, document and implement savings, e.g. savings; plan, supervise and report on relevant Key Performance Index to give to the success of the business and make results visibleWhat You BringSuccessfully completed bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (Preferred) or business administration with strong electrical or mechanical affinity and experience in respective material fieldShould have 5-7 years of experience of procurement in project business. Experience in procurement of rotating equipment would be an added advantage.Able to independently prepare and carry out mid-complex negotiations (including negotiation strategy, max/min goal, fallback position, role allocation, target costing, etc.)Ready for national and international travel activitiesKnowledge of contractual lawPresents facts and processes spontaneously, takes part in discussions about daily tasks and issues in an international teamAble to qualify and evaluate suppliers, classifications, development measures, create contract entries, implement eAuctions, etc.Able to identify and implement measures to ensure the consistency of the suppliers to the requirements of ComplianceExcellent negotiation and presentation skills, along with ability to establish relationships and influence customers on different levelsData analytics and cost modelling skillsExcellent command of EnglishAble to prioritize tasks and to handle workloads in an effective manner with minimal direct supervision and flexibility in handling multiple and diverse tasks.Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situationsSensitive and responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, and cultural groups.Shown integrity and high personal standards of behavior.Proficient in MS Office suiteWho is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
