Job Description

As a Principal QS Engineer - MEP, you will play a critical role in meticulously managing and overseeing the quantity surveying aspects of MEP works in the project. This position involves detailed quantification of electromechanical items for purchase requisitions, monthly progress reports, and overall cost estimation to ensure successful project execution.

Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:

1. Purchase Requisition Quantification:

  • Compile a comprehensive list of all electromechanical items for purchase requisitions.
  • Ensure accuracy and thoroughness in the quantification process.

2. Monthly Progress Report Quantification:

  • Prepare a detailed quantification of all electromechanical items for monthly progress reports.
  • Collaborate with project teams to align progress reporting with project goals.

3. Review and Quantification of Measurement Items:

  • Conduct a thorough review and quantification of all measurement items and electromechanical works.
  • Ensure precise documentation of quantities and adherence to project specifications.

4. Length and Circuit Quantification:

  • Quantify items related to average lengths and circuits for exits and electrical circuits.
  • Ensure accuracy in measuring and documenting relevant items.

5. Quantification for Low Current Systems:

  • Quantify all previously mentioned items related to low current systems.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to align low current system quantification with project requirements.

Job Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering. (Accumulative Grade must not be less than Good).
  • 7 - 10 years of experience in MEP quantity surveying, preferably in a technical office environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
