Job Description
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in aluminum detailing, including façade systems, curtain walls, windows, and structural components.
- Lead the development of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for aluminum structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Management:
- Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and drafters responsible for aluminum detailing tasks.
- Provide training, support, and feedback to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
Design Review and Analysis:
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify design constraints, conflicts, and opportunities for optimization.
- Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of aluminum structures under various loads and environmental conditions.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of engineering drawings and documentation.
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment of design intent with project requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to source materials and components required for aluminum detailing projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aluminum detailing, facade engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS).
- Strong knowledge of aluminum materials, fabrication techniques, and industry standards (e.g., ASTM, AAMA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management experience, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Professional engineering license or certification preferred.
