Job Description

We’re looking for a Health and Safety Specialist who will be responsible for implementing procedures and models for occupational safety and health, periodically inspecting workplaces in the factory, and reporting risks in the work environment.

 

Duties and Tasks:

  • Applies procedures and models for occupational safety and health
  • Develops and executes health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
  • Applies all control procedures included in the risk assessment in the work environment
  • Inspects the factory workplaces and reports risks in the work environment.
  • Files reports of accidents and unsafe conditions.
  • Executes and applies the emergency plan approved by the Civil Defense in terms of (aid plan - evacuation plan - fire extinguishing plan).
  • Prepares statistical reports on work injuries.
  • Prepares and enforces policies to establish a culture of health and safety
  • Evaluates practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
  • Conducts training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
  • Monitors compliance with policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
  • Inspects equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
  • Investigates accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
  • Recommends solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures
  • Reports on health and safety awareness, issues, and statistics
  • Follows up on the fire and alarm network and maintains all types of fire extinguishers.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industry/Engineering/Commerce or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a safety Officer in the manufacturing field.
  • Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
  • Convenient certifications are required (OSHA Construction, Risk assessment, firefighting, first aid)
  • Valid occupational health and safety qualification for 5-8 years in factories.
  • Experience in dealing with accidents and injuries.
