Job Description

Role Overview: The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, managing, and researching learning initiatives to support creating learning experiences for persons with disabilities to be more employable and reach their full protentional and for companies to become more inclusive. This role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, training management skills and research capabilities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Instructional Design: 

Design and develop engaging and effective learning programs, including online and face to face courses, workshops, and training materials, to meet organizational learning objectives. 

Coach and guide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) through the instructional design process to design and develop course materials. 

Apply adult learning principles, instructional design models, and learning technologies to create interactive and impactful learning experiences. 

Training Development and Management: 

Develop detailed training outlines, lesson plans, and learning paths that promote active learning, critical thinking, application of knowledge and skill development needs. 

Coordinate and manage training programs from inception to implementation, including scheduling, logistics, and evaluation. 

Conduct thorough needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to identify learning objectives, audience profiles, and performance gaps. 

Research and Analysis: 

Conduct needs assessments, learning gap analyses, and performance evaluations to identify learning needs and opportunities for improvement. 

Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, feedback, and metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and inform decision-making. 

Use data-driven insights to make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation in learning strategies and programs. 

Programs Development and Innovation: 

Create proposals for new learning initiatives, programs, and strategies based on research findings, industry insights, and organizational goals. 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm, develop, and implement innovative ideas and solutions to enhance learning effectiveness and engagement. 

Learning Evaluation: 

Develop and implement evaluation strategies, including surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms, to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness. 

Communicate evaluation results and insights to stakeholders and leadership and collaborate on action plans to address areas for improvement

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in education or related field; Master's degree preferred. 

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a similar position. 

Proven experience in instructional design, training development, learning research, proposal development, and innovation within a corporate or organizational setting. 

Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, learning theories, and e-learning technologies. 

Excellent project management, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, evaluate learning outcomes, and drive continuous improvement. 

Excellent written and spoken English 

Excellent communication skills 

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and team skills
