Job Description
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within the food processing and packaging industry in Egypt and Africa.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including food manufacturers, processors, and packaging companies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical expertise and support to clients regarding food processing solutions, packaging equipment, and instruments.
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training sessions for customers and prospects.
- Understand and communicate the features, benefits, and applications of our products to meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to address customer feedback and customize solutions as needed.
Project Management:
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery and installation of equipment and instruments.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet customer expectations.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance services to customers, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, serving as their primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Anticipate customer needs and proactively recommend product upgrades, enhancements, or additional services.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
- Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and analysis to management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
- Provide input and feedback to the marketing team regarding product positioning, messaging, and promotional activities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or technical certification is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably within the food processing or packaging industry.
- Strong technical aptitude and understanding of food processing equipment, packaging solutions, and related instruments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients at all levels.
- Ability to travel extensively within Egypt and across Africa, as required.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and CRM software; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic or other languages spoken in Africa is desirable.
