Director, Community Landscaping

Job DescriptionThe Landscaping Operation and Maintenance Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of landscaping operations, including the design, installation, and maintenance of landscape projects. The Director will ensure that all landscaping services are delivered to a high standard, meet client expectations, and are completed within budget and on schedule.Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Leadership: Provide vision and direction for the landscaping team. Develop and implement long-term strategies for landscaping operations that align with the organization's goals. Lead, motivate, and manage landscaping personnel to achieve high productivity and quality standards. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of landscaping projects. Ensure all projects adhere to industry standards and client specifications. Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure seamless operations. Maintenance Oversight: Establish and maintain high-quality maintenance protocols for all landscaped areas. Develop schedules for regular maintenance, seasonal activities, and special horticultural projects Budget and Resource Management: Prepare and manage the budget for landscaping operations. Monitor expenses, approve purchases, and ensure the efficient use of resources. Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. Quality Control and Compliance: Enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of landscaping services. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding landscaping and environmental practices. In-depth knowledge of horticultural practices, landscape design, and maintenance requirements. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a team. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors. Strategic business acumen with the ability to apply business-thinking principles to drive operational efficiency and growth within the landscaping division.
