About Role:This position serves as the primary liaison between management and all financial aspects concerning the Fixed Business division, both internally and externally, at Bayobab. Collaborating closely with Bayobab FinOps, the role entails providing essential support to the business. It is a diverse role necessitating meticulous attention to detail, robust financial analysis and presentation skills, proficiency in financial risk management, Oracle reporting, control governance, and comprehensive experience in overall Finance operations to assess and establish finance policies and procedures according to industry best practices.Responsibilities:Here are the main things you will do:Serving as the central point of contact for all Fixed wholesale connectivity business matters at Bayobab, catering to both internal and external customers. Overseeing the Profit and Loss (P&L) statements for the Bayobab Fixed business line, encompassing internal (IRUs, O&M, GEBU, Satellite, backhaul services to Opcos) and external customer revenue. Proactively forecasting revenue by leveraging sales pipeline data, current performance, churn rates, etc., and collaborating with the Business to evaluate progress. Ensuring alignment of all new sales deals with approved price books and Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrices in Haraka. Participating in consortium Financial & Administration (F&A) Sub Committee meetings as necessary. Engaging with various business partners on financial matters. Conducting ad-hoc financial analyses based on management requests. Evaluating business cases and offering feedback to the Bayobab Finance leadership team. Regularly verifying system pricing against signed price books/rate cards. Managing internal and external inquiries effectively. Overseeing day-to-day activities. Undertaking additional tasks and duties as assigned by Management. Assisting the Sales and commercial team in developing short- and long-term business plans.Requirements:Here are the qualifications and skills required:A 4-year Accounting/Finance degree from a recognized university. Full qualification as a CA/CPA/ACMA (CIMA)/ACCA. A postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance would be advantageous. At least 5 years of relevant experience in the pertinent areas of the business. Proficiency in Hyperion reporting, FCCS, and analysis. Experience in both audit environments and commercial settings. Strong stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with sales force operations. Demonstrated business acumen.Competencies:Critical Finance thinking Strategic thinker Possessing a commercial mindset with strong business and finance acumen.
