Job Description

  • -Quality Assurance: Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Oversee and conduct quality inspections at various stages of production, from raw materials to finished products, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and improvement in production methods to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and ingredients used in the production process.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and train a team of quality assurance technicians or inspectors, providing guidance, support, and training to uphold quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and corrective actions taken. Prepare reports on quality performance and trends for management review.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, certifications (e.g., HACCP, ISO), and industry standards.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and address quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by initiating quality-related projects, implementing best practices, and fostering a quality-focused mindset among employees.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field. - - - Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in quality assurance/control within the food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control methodologies, and quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality management software and MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
