Job Description
- Monitor & manage the day-to-day activities of the software team to ensure each project remains on schedule and on budget and successfully implemented while maintaining high quality of deliverables.
- Create, maintain and track project plans and schedules, cost estimates and problem logs throughout the lifecycle of the projects.
- Allocate resources, conduct software team meetings, troubleshoot technical issues, and facilitate the deployment of software upgrades.
- Gather and update project materials, complete budgeting, forecast, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents.
- Define and improve processes to optimize performance and value over time.
- Make recommendations about schedules, prioritization and resource allocation with input from team members.
- Drive the strategic direction of our products & services taking into account emerging and legacy technologies.
- Devise a tactical plan which can be collaboratively carried out by the team to implement improvements to products, services, processes and knowledge sharing within the team
- Review projects progress and overview of the performance of all individuals in team.
- Facilitate the smooth delivery of all projects, enhancements and support delivered by the team.
- Coordinate with product managers, architects, developers, testers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with software development methodologies, processes, and best practices, and enforce adherence to quality standards and project governance requirements.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- PMP certification is a plus
- 5-7 years of experience with minimum 2 years as project manager.
- Advanced understanding of web-based and mobile-based systems programming and development.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
- Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines and to effectively manage staff.
- Highly numerate and literate, with the ability to produce top quality written specifications and strategy and implementation communication.
Language Proficiency:
- Fluent Arabic and English verbal and written.
